The 18-year-old has not yet played first class cricket, but was snapped up by The Royals after impressing during a tournament in Mumbai.
Kamran bowled one over during Saturday’s warm-up game with the Cape Cobras and signalled his intent with the wicket of Justin Ontong.
Royals skipper Warne feels Kamran has untapped potential that could shine in The IPL.
"We've got one young player who's going to be very interesting," Warne told the South African Sunday Times.
"Kamran Khan is a young kid, a left-armer, a slinger, he doesn't speak much English at the moment. He's a tiny little guy but he bowls 140 plus.”
Warne’s Royals kick off the defence of their crown against Bangalore Royal Challengers and the Australian feels his side have a host of talent to call on.
He added: ”Another guy to look out for is Ravindra Jadeja. He played last year, did enough but he's had another year of experience. Then there's Yusuf Pathan. He was dynamite last year, he just destroys medium-pace and spin bowling. He and Andrew Symonds are two of the cleanest hitters I've ever seen."
